TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Travel insurance: General, Covid-19, extenuating circumstances:

Escape to the Beach guest house has been extremely accommodating during the past 20 months in as far as extenuating circumstances and Covid-19 cancellations and refunds are concerned. Guests are advised that after the declaration of COVID–19 as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, the extenuating circumstances no longer applies because COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected. Please remember to carefully review our cancellation policy when booking and consider taking out comprehensive travel insurance including cover for any COVID-19 related circumstances.

Rates include:

  • Prices are per suite
  • 15% VAT included
  • Quoted in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Full breakfast with fabulous ground bean coffee; Continental options, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free
  • Tea and Coffee in Room
  • Complimentary wifi
  • Free off street parking

Rates exclude:

  • Honesty bar purchases
  • Any other meals excluding breakfast

Children:

  • 12 years and older only

Conditions:

  • No pets
  • No smoking throughout the property, inside and outside
  • Check in 15:00
  • Check out 10:30
  • Maximum 2 Pax per suite

Payment terms:

  • Full payment required with online booking
  • Credit card payments accepted: Visa and Mastercard

CANCELLATION POLICY

The following amounts are payable if a reservation is cancelled:

If cancelling 1-30 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit/ booking fee paid.
If cancelling 31+ days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit/ booking fee paid.

NEW RESERVATIONS from 1st December 2021

  • Room reservations may be held provisionally up to 3 days without a deposit.
  • To secure and confirm a reservation, a 100% deposit is required (Cancellation policy applies). Deposits are calculated for the full duration of the stay.
  • Failure to pay deposits in the required period will result in the reservation being released.
  • Full payment must be received 30 days prior to arrival date to confirm the reservation, failing which Escape to the Beach may cancel the reservation and the reservation will be released. Deposits will not be refunded.
  • All extra costs are to be settled directly by the guests on departure.

CANCELLATION REQUESTS DUE TO COVID-19 RELATED REASONS

Escape to the Beach’s cancellation terms and conditions apply for any reason for cancellation including those listed below.

  1. The South African Government imposes a travel ban and guests are unable to travel.
  2. The Government in the guest’s country of origin (or transit country) imposes a travel ban and guests are unable to travel.
  3. The South African Government or the Government in the guest’s country of origin imposes a mandatory quarantine and therefore guests are unable or unwilling to travel.
  4. Guest is prevented from boarding a flight on account of health screening.
  5. Guest has contracted COVID-19 and is under treatment or in quarantine or under medical treatments and therefore cannot travel.
